rear end
alright i had a question my when i go to do a burnout, which means when i rev it up and let the clutch out it always spins full posi, i have the 8.8 rear in it by the way. but when i was moving my car into the garage my one tire was one the driveway one was in the snow and the one in the snow was spinning but the one on the driveway wasnt and my car always spins full posi and sometimes doesnt go out of full posi around turns the rear end chirps when turning sometimes. i was wandering what type of setup is in it because i was looking at getting 4.10s but didnt want to lose the full posi burnouts 24/7 all the time

its not FULL POSITIVE traction at all times...if not everytime you turned you'd snap an axle....if one tire is spining in something easy to spin in like snow and the other is on concrete its common for the tire in the snow to only spin...its like your axle is being tricked that your doing some kinda wierd turn
why are you burning out in the snow anyway?

if it detects traction on one wheels and none on the other it will not give power to the wheel with traction so not to break anything. When both burn out you have equal stress on both sides but if one side hooks and not the other you could snap the rearend easy.

Ok this is why you don't weld it. When you take a turn and you give it some gas the inside wheel doesn't turn as much as the outside (under normal conditions). If you have it welded the outside is going to spin less or the inside is going to spin more, either way it's putting alot of stress on your shaft and it will snap it. Especially if you're on a 7.5.

but when your turning one wheel spins a slight bit more then the other... if its welded then both MUST spin at the same time...so your tires or axles or someting in the rear end with get messed up eventually or the weld will break

quick question, not ment to hijack the thread or anything, but what exactly does putting in an 8.8 rear end do? like, what are the positives of it, and why is it better than the 7.5? does it make the rear end higher or something? lol

stronger (35% or more stronger depending on axles.)
t-lok in simple terms its a stronger rear end, better for higher hp v6ers and it makes both your wheels spin
