HIDs in halo projectors

Okay i dont want to hear all the hate about getting halo lights but im doing it anyway, i love the look of them. Im getting the raxiom smoked dual halo projectors from AM and i want HID's with them. They take two different bulbs, and H7 for the lows and an H1 for the highs. I just want to replace the lows with HIDs but i dont know if its possible. Any help would be appreciated and if anyone has done this please post pics!
Thanks!

Yeah, you just buy a regular (not bi-xenon) HID kit w/ H7 bulbs. It's actually not recommended to put HIDs in the high beams. Turning on and off the high beams causes the HIDs to have a short life.

Yeah, and you said H7s were for low beams. I was making an extra comment that HIDs in high beams are not recommended.

If they take two different bulbs then you just get a single bulb kit designed for the H7 style

*goes to find link*

It helps to read about the part you want to buy.
Technical Note. Not intended for use with vehicles equipped with Daytime Running Lights or HID Kits.
Straight from AM

I'm assuming this means that they have plastic projectors. Plastic doesn't mix well with HID's.

I've seen HIDs run on plastic projectors. Yes they are cheap plastic projectors that say not for HIDs. But they will work and they will have better output than stock reflector housings (which are also NOT for HIDs).

You'll be fine, just replace the low beams and leave the high beams, HID high beams will be insanely bright anyways and blind oncoming traffic.
i just ordered some 6000k from ddmtuning, cant wait to get em

It is illegal to have HID in a factory reflector headlight. They are only legal in a projector lenses. That being said projectors look like shit for our model but i do like them for the s197

I do want to go ahead and warn you, I got the exact same headlights you are looking at, the black smoked glass Raxiom halo yada yada...

Well, they didn't turn out so nice. The part on the housing that hold the pins that secures the fixture to the car, broke. 1 of the 3 on one light broke, and 2 of the three on the other.

Right now I am in a search for better lights to replace them. I am working on getting a refund.

On the topic of HID's being too hot, I don't know that I believe that. Theoretically, it shouldn't be a problem. Regular Halogen lights use 55 watts, as opposed to the HID (Xenon) lights use 35. Although there is less space between the projector lense and the bulb itself, as compared to halogens have 3 to 4.

Debatable, but only provable by experience.

Comments?

I'm not saying that it has been done with this light/housing combo, but it has been done. And you can get 55w HID's.

It's actually illegal to have HIDs in any vehicle that didn't come from the factory w/ them.

Some factory cars used to come from the factory with HIDs in reflectors (I believe the first Prius had HIDs in reflectors designed for them). The difference is that those reflector housings were designed for HIDs where the housing on the Mustang are designed for halogen bulbs.
