Looking to dual out the exhaust on my 2010 v6...help!

Hey guys & girls, I'm looking into getting a dual exhaust set up on my 2010 V6 I was leaning in the direction of going with newtakeoff's true dual exhaust system since they use the GT mufflers and everything else needed for less then $400 shipped. My question is what do you guys think of this exhaust system and also would you recommend any other system near that same price that might sound better or are of better quality?

Also I need to get the GT rear valance, I found a very good price online but wanted to know if anyone on here is trying to get rid of one? Or if you guys know of any websites that sell the GT rear valance at a great price? Please let me know, thanks

Most people on here will say flowmasters or magnaflow or off brands of either but it does not really matter. IMO I am a fan of flowmasters but everybody has different taste. As for the rear roush makes on American Muscle for only 180.

my advice

take that 400...add maybe an extra 50 bucks and go to a reputable shop and have them build you something and slap on some flows

^+1 easiest way to do it, but your still going to have to have a near rear, unless you know someone that can cut the other side to match perfectly

They sound like A** on the 4.0, sound good on the 3.9/3.8 v6's though

If I would buy the GT Mufflers off someone, what would I need to specifically ask a shop to make me? Just midpipes and either X or H pipe? Sorry I'm not very smart when it comes to exhaust systems lol...I don't even see why it would cost that much?

and about the $99 for the rear valance, I saw that on newtakeoff just wanted to see if maybe someone else had it for cheaper

Well I just called a local shop that I have gone to in the past 2 or 3 times and they told me it's a risk going dual because the fuel lines and gas tank are very close to the driver side where the piping would be added and he wouldn't recommend it. He said that was at least the issue with the 09's but he said he's almost sure with the 2010's as well???? He said he'll take a look at it for free, did you or anyone else run into this issue or is this even true? He said if there are no issues, he'll do it for $100

lol go to a different shop....they should have an problems! they should cut the y pipe...weld on a x pipe and then bend new piping all the way to the end...weld on some flows (which sound great on 4.0's...i had them, drone sucks but super 44's is the deepest you will get with any axlebacks...plus loud)

done...gt mufflers are restricting and not that deep nor loud! I have had flows and GT takes offs on my old s197!

there ya go! they should charge you more than 500....and thats a max!

I lost the drone when I got my divorced H hybrid setup, also I get a really deep loud sound inside the car and vibrating when the RPM drops under 800
