Exhaust
Hey i am looking into dual exhuast and trying to find the mufflers that and like the flowmasters I can't afford dual glowmasters right now so I was trying to get the name of that other muffler. They have the same effect don't they. Cause they are like the same design right???

They're called Thrush Welds.
I really don't see why everyone thinks flowmaster's are so expensive though. I got both of mine for like $120. How much are thrush's? |

I am having mine done custom and I have a single exhuast right now. And I am getting true duals. And the guy I am taking it to said it would cost upwards around 500 to 600. And I heard that the trush welds are like 30 or 40 a piece or something and the 40 series are like 80-90 the way that my guy gets them I am not sure if that cheaper or more expensive than normal. But he has done alot of my friends trucks a a couple of friends mustangs and I like his work.

Oh. Hm. 500-600 is probably a bit expensive but it just depends on your area.
And I guess thrush's are about half the price then, I payed like $60 or $65 a piece for my flowmasters. |

yea i payed 600 for my true dual setup and i got 2 flow 40's, word of advice, buy the mufflers and tips yourself and have them install the rest, they will charge you more for the mufflers and tips..atleast thats what happened to me. And thrush's are a bit cheaper and sound similar

Ya that's what I was planning on I have an ugly tip on the single exhuast right now. Cause I had the same guy put a glasspack on and so far am looking for a way different sound. So I am not sure if I want tips on it or not at the moment at least.

If I get tips what style look good. I have a 98 so it does have the bumper cut outs like the 99-04 so the exhuast just sits under the bumper. And the guys that I am going to have do mine said he does think it is a good idea to dump the exhuast cause there is a lot of open space underneath the the trunk area and that where I what to dump it. Which it just after the muffler. And he said that the gas what ever it's called. Will come into the cab.

Ok so I just spoke with the guy that I'm going to have do my exhuast and he told me what the main cost of the exhuast is goin to have to do with all the bending of the pipe to go up and other the axle. So I am now wondering is it possible to do side exhuast on a 98' mustang.

Yeah I doubt many shops will do side pipes.
But the over axle bends are the worst, alot of places gave me crap about it when I was looking for somewhere to go. |

dont think vatozone has them....
ethier advance auto parts or jegs or summit... here ya go, this is the one you would need Dynomax 17659 Thrush Welded Mufflers or from summit http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WLK-17659/ if you buy it at advance auto parts tell them it needs to be Offset Inlet/ Offset Outlet
