Where did you get your exhaust system?
Ok so Im about ready to go to dual set up with some 40's. What I want to know is what is the best cat-back system and where did you get it? I will get the 40's mufflers from AM but not sure about the cat-back.
all info is greatly accepted. EDIT: also, which is better for a deeper sound? a Delta flow muffler or the original 40's sires. EDIT ONE MORE TIME: I forgot to mention that it will be an H-pipe set up.

flow 40s. Get it custom at a shop. Dont buy anything online. Except maybe your mufflers.
The shops can fab you an H pipe as well. |

I think your best bet is to have an H pipe made by a shop and get some GT takeoffs for $100. They're stainless steel, and just put in whatever mufflers you want

the only reason why I asked is because the last two shops I visited for a quote, they quoted me 650 or more dollars. And I here most people can get it for 400. What gives? The shops say it would be cheaper if I got it my self.

Find a decent exhaust shop i guess. Its pretty hard for me. A couple shops around me sort of refused to work on my car at all. I asked one shop to try and fit my pypes exhaust better, and all they did was take it completely off and put it in my trunk and tell me they couldnt do anything. I also asked a different shop if they could put gears in and they told me they only put gears in derby cars because they dont take the time to install the gears correctly.

Good luck. You shouldnt spend over 500 dollars for a shop to fab you up dual with 40s and an h pipe.

yeah I know, problem is out here in the country side of Ohio, I don't want to drive thirty minutes to get to a shop. And all the shops in or near town will cost me some serious bank. One tried to charge me $848! WTF?!

countryside of ohio...there are tons of shops all over ohio that can do this kind of work. and if driving your car more than 30 min to a shop is that big of an issue, you really shouldn't do anything that requires dyno tuning.
but in all seriousness, i drove roundtrip 6 hours to a dyno, 4 hoursto buy a supercharger, 3 hours for some other parts, hour for exhaust, i could go on.

im going to do mine myself and see how it works out, im just going to cut off from the cats back obviouly but leave about an 1 1/2 pipe still attached to the cat buy some exuast pipe and attach it to the cats with some exahust clamps then put mufflers on the ends, and just go with dumps lol...if i remeber all you need is 2 4 1/2 pipes attached to the cats...im going to do this and see how it works, cause i sure an exahust shop isnt going to charge much for 2 pipes that length or even one and just cut it to length lol

like said above, do not order a full exhaust system online. buy some thrush welded mufflers at advance auto parts or jegs...and just have a muffler shop fabb a system up for you.
when i first got into modding, first thing i did was order a 400 doallar dual exhaust, then on top of that paid like 150 to have it installed

I got mine from Amazon for like $210-$250 on some insane sale, it was like 50% off coupon or something, mufflers pipes and hangers but I had to do some modification to get it to fit perfect
