A grumble-like noise. You can move the wheel up down and side to side.

Maybe, does the noise change as speed increases?

That's interesting that it goes away after 25....

Anyone else have an opinion?

My wife's car had the front wheel bearings go out about a year ago. It sounded like she had bad tires on the car because it whined so loud when they were brand new tires. The sound would get louder the fast the car went.

also with a wheel bearing it will make the sound going in a straight line and when you make a turn either left or right it should go away while making the turn it depends on wich side wheel bearing is bad that the noise will go away during the left or right turn. Best bet is to jack up the front end an play with the tire put one hand on top one hand on bottom and push and pull top and bottom if it moves its a wheel bearing.

it actually is normal for a wheel bearings sound to change dramatically, from loud grinding to almost nothing at different speeds. one way you can tell and diagnose which wheel bearing it is, is by turning your wheel when you hear it. If you turn the wheel to the left and it stops it is your left bearing, same goes for the right side. this test only works for the front, though those are the ones that usualy go.

edit, aww mustang89 beat me by many hours lawl.
