Ok, just wondering before anybody even gets into this...do you know what you are doing?
You can fab the hot side however you want it to be for access, same with everything else. If you're doing it yourself, that is. If you have a shop do it, then you really don't have to wrry about it anyway. Maybe I'm not understanding your question?

This thread is about as useful as a poopy flavored lollipop.
Edit: 1. What numbers are you shooting for? 2. You better have alot of money to sink into an engine. 3. Do you have any mechanical experience? Last edited by 2000stallion; October 29th, 2010 at 03:07 PM. |

it's ok though you said you didn't know.i agree. basically the same thing i said above. though i don't really care what his power numbers are...haha until he gives some details, ill just answer his question. Look at tmaturbo.com and see his twin kit. That's the best way you're going to set it up for access and power. And you don't necessarily need a ton of money for an engine as long as you keep it around 8 psi. It should last a while.

Sure. With twins you can really have your cake and eat it to, if you catch my drift. With properly sized snails you have the ability to really crank it up if you want to AND have a fast(er) spool in the mean time. Faster than with a properly sized single that is.

Yes but that would be twin in-line turbo's, aka sequential turbos. You can have the same effect, or close too the same effect, by using two smaller turbo's in parallel instead of one big turbo.

Ah, so are the small turbos the popular choice for twins?

Yeah, generally. It's better to have 2 small (properly sized turbos) than 2 larger ones, in which case you might as well have one properly sized turbo. If the guy I bought my kit from will f'ing talk to me about it, I'll have 2 small turbos.

Me too, I just have to get stuff straightened out with the seller. The turbos aren't exactly in the condition they were described to be and at least 1 needs to be rebuilt. So I'm working on that in the meantime.
