Buy the motor whole?
so now that i have some new wheels on the car, i think i can move on to getting performance parts in the future, that being the split port swap up first.
would it be better to just buy the entire 99-04 motor out of a mustang for 500$, build it up on a stand, and when youve pretty much got it good drop it in the car later? whats all of yalls opinion on this. |

thats what im doing, if all goes well im getting a complete 00 motor for $200 in a few weeks, then i will tear it down sell everything i dont need and put in a stroker kit over the winter.
i think you will have to do something with your fuel setup though as the 99-04 uses a different system. Someone else can explain more about that though. |

from the sellers add
"well times are getting tougher and tougher, i cannot afford to get my 4.2 storker project under way, it would be so long until i can get to it, its not costing me anything sitting here but i could use the money. im broke. bottom line. so up forsale! Ross Forged 4.2 pistons .030 Forged connecting rods 4.2 Crank Gapless piston rings (NEW-$200, have receipt) the pistons and rods have been used, i bought them that way, they have i believe 3k miles on them. the crank and rings are new also, i believe i have rod bearings that ill throw in with it, im selling as a kit or not at all, like i said i dont need to sell but i figured id post it and see...its been really tough times and its killing me not to be able to upgrade the stang. price is $1000 obo, i know the morana v6 stroker kit is like $2300 new." |

Okay, well that will be my main focus aspect of the car then. that and a turbo. build that damn motor up, get a turbo, a rear end, and ill be good. THAT and some good linkage setup stuff underneath it and hell, itll be a damn fine car. thanks for your opinion guys, it really does help.

That's my plan too, once I save up I will do it over during summer break. But only if I find a cheap turbo kit and 4.2.
Definitely write it up once you do it.

SSMS sells full motors, bottom ends, rotating assemblies, or part by part.
