I'm thinking about going catless next summer but I don't want it to sound like balls without them.
I have flow 40s and an h pipe. I just want it to be a bit louder but I don't want it to be much higher pitched either really.
If u want a vid for refference just go on you tube there's two ppl(with good vids) tht use flow master 40s and an off road h pipe...

There account names are durr7 (somthine like tht)
And infact one of our guys on modded mustangs has a vid of the same thing but long tubes and its in the sticky vid section but tht one is ok I like the 2nd one he posted on you tube

hey now that I have set with the exhaust deal, How much different will sound be with a Cat-less H-pipe versus a catted H-pipe? I'm going cat-less H but I'd like to know.

There's a significant difference. The only reason I would go catless though is if you are planning FI. Other than that, I don't particularly like the sound. It's not bad with forced induction because it totally changes the sound. But NA without cats sounds like shit IMO. Except at idle...it sounds great at idle.

sure a sixxer can sound good with just a nice mid-pipe and the right muffler combo...but LT's make all the difference

LTs make a big difference. If he doesn't have them though, it doesn't sound too good, even with a cam at anything except idle.

Which should I get next??

Long tube headers or a new "lumpy" cam?

nope...my GT just has weld in flows...i wish it was catless but i've only had the car a few months and the mufflers where on there when purchased...im saving for a pypes violator catback with some sort of O/R x pipe...

as for the LT's...it'll delete the first two....you can leave the main cats if you want, but if you're taking the exhaust down to put in LTs you might as well take off the main cats too

right now my car sounds like this

but i want it to sound like this
