Oh hell yes. For $2 more per half tank, I can use up to 1/4 tank less depending on how I'm driving. Obviously my redline pulls and slamming through gears burns more gas, but it's fun

I might run this tank low and go back to the 93 just to see if I can get a difference, but I'm starting to think anything I felt originally was all in my head. I know the gains are there on paper, but I remember how awesome it felt when I got my 93 tune running well and when I recently dropped back to 87 it didn't feel any different than how the car has been running for months.

I'm at a half tank right now, I'll fill it up with 93 soon and give it another test. I might change the spark plugs as well. I'm getting some detonation at higher RPMs with my NGK's that only have 8k miles on them.

Do you switch the tune each time? I had detonation so badly when I first switched to 93 (from the little bit of 89 left in the bottom of the tank) that I couldn't get the car up to 3k RPM. I ran the 93 tune for 8 months or so after that and didn't switch back because of that?
Hmmmm, I've probably had 1/6 to 1/8 of a tank of 87, put 20 bucks worth of 93 in, and never ever ever had a misfire or backfire or hesitation.

The difference was barely noticeable on the street.
Couldn't tell you what my tune adds, probably around the same amount considering my motor is basically stock except for a windstar intake, but I can feel a difference, and its not in my head. Snappier throttle, different sound, and feels completely different when pulling onto the highway.

The 93 race tune does have better throttle response, it is one of the things that BAMA plays with for that tune.

every little bit adds up, i have a 91 oct tune and i dont feel much of a difference.

the only time i have had to change it back was when i was driving home from thanksgiving dinner (canadian one is beginning of october)

and i was halfway home and stopped at a gas station for gas that only let you pre pay. I say $40 of 91 oct please and the idiot gave me 87 instead and could not refund me, if i didnt have my tuner with me i would have been fucked
