Even if it's not in good shape, as long as it is rebuild-able, you will still come out WAY cheaper than buying a new one.

Another Google exert:

Differences between a blow off and a bypass

A blow off valve will BLOW the "unused" pressure into the atmosphere or into the filter side of the SC/Turbo.

The bypass will feed the "unused" pressure into the INTAKE to keep it pressurized, this keeps cylinders filled with air helping push the exhaust out.

The overall design is the same though, just different ways to get rid of excess boost, one discards it, the other uses it to its advantage.

Thank you for that. So would I be better off with the bypass than the blow off?

I think it all has to do with preference. From the reading neither has an advantage over the other.

You want a blow off valve. You know you want that BA sound every time you shift.

I just asked him if he has the BOV. If not, then i gues the BPV will do. Can't the BPV be like the BOV though?

10,000? Forget a 0? I'm pretty sure they run in the 100,000+ rpm range.

They are the same thing, One recycles the other puts the pressurized air into the atmosphere.
