He couldn't find a good reason why he lost the race. Hence "O/D was off."

I'm in a trolling mood today for some reason.

All you need to know is that you don't want to do any WOT upshifts into OD.

I would love to know who started this myth that the O/D button makees a difference when racing.

Your car runs EXACTLY the same with or without the button pushed, it simply keeps it from shifting into 4th gear. Jesus someone make a sticky about this.

For 1, I love your pic FAIL

2 it might help in street racing to get a few more hunder rpm outta 3rd... But that matters so little, and just raises chances in f'ing stuff up, I wouldnt suggest it lol.

And jw, do the new 6speed autos use O/D as 6th or what ?? Do they even have O/D option on them lol ?

I learned all this by driving w and w/o it lol who needs a forum :p

Like I said, turning it off will keep you in 3rd a lil longer for those higher rpms, but you wouldnt leave it in 1st and race, so remember to turn it back on before you blow your engine, or just leave it alone
dik haha

Tru, but I know with stock gears my rev limiter in 2nd was at 70 mph, so what would that put 3rd at? Like 110? If you street race a v6 mustang over 110 mph pulls, you need to adjust how you race.

I'm strickly talking about a 1/4 mile ET with and without OD should be exactly the same (not exactly obviously but so close that it shows there isn't a difference)
