so the 96 I'm rebuilding had the airbags deployed, right? Found them online for about $550, and my first reaction to that is yeah, right. Many people have commented to just get an aftermarket wheel and call it good. Well ok so the wheel on it does look like crap besides being split in the middle where the airbag goes... but
1) is that going to make this car a problem to sell, if it doesn't have airbags?
2) the airbag light is flashing, so I need to disable the airbags, or rearm the system, or something right? (there's probably a thread on that...)
3) any recommendations on a good steering wheel or good place to get nice ones? I know some of that depends on taste, but some sites are much cheaper than others, and some wheels are prob crap... I want to go with a black or charcoal and blue interior scheme, and the outside is blue but may repaint charcoal with blue vinyls...

sorry i cant help with the technical stuff, but me personally...I wouldn't buy a car without an airbag.

I'm not sure if you could sell a car without an airbag. It's probably a neccesary safety feature, might get a ticket if a cop saw you didn't have one and were driving it.
