New Here.. With some questions
Hello everyone, I'm new to this site and thought I'd start out with a thread about some questions I have. Well, first off, my parents bought me my first car about a month ago. It is a 2004 V6 Mustang in Screaming Yellow.(Picture Below). The first thing I want to do to it is put dual exhaust. Since I'm new to the whole thing, I'm not sure what I need. Th eone thing I do know I want are Flowmaster Original 40s. Other then that I don't know what else. You help and other suggestions on things for my car would be appreciated. Thanks

Take your car to a muffler or performance shop in your hometown, tell them to give you true duals, or x pipe, or hpipe whatever floats your boat, and then tell them you want a knockoff of flowmaster 40's as the mufflers. And next before you post, not to be a douche, but people will tell you to use the search function. Oh and welcome.

H pipe or straight pipes sound best with our engines. Definitely go to shops and see what they want to custom fab the midpipe and install the mufflers. It's usually cheaper than buying a midpipe and asking them to install it.
Do you have any other plans for the car?

My other plans besides the dual exhaust were cold air intake, black bullitt rims, black hood scoop and hood pins

Dont ask a shop shit ! lol They want your money. Decide what YOU want and tell them what you want. Other wise they'll do whatever they can to get money
Before long a few people will invade this convo and say that in person flows and thrush sound nothing alike, Flows are better. True or false ? IDK ? but I would get an H pipe personally .... Just wanting a cat-back? Then H pipe to flow 40s is what Id get. |

Honestly I have always like the black racing stripes, if you are doing the yellow and black theme that would look sweet! But i would recomend performance parts first, doesnt matter how it looks as much as how it performs. At least in my opinon.
Nice car though! I got the american muscle cold air intake for my 98, it doesnt do alot, but i can actually feel a difference whether people believe me or not, Windstars add a little more hp, but if you dont have alot of money to spend might as well get the AM CAI. Idk, if im wrong someone please correct me |
