Interchangeable parts
I have been doing as much research as possible, but I can't find out if there are any interchangeable parts for 99+ mustangs. Will GT springs work for our stangs? I know the exhaust is, at least the cat-back, or will the h-pipe also fit to our stock manifolds? I also read that if you dont have predrilled holes for a strut brace, you can't get one. I call bullshit, a drill and bolts should work, right? I'm not used to the stang's layout. I have recently gone muscle from a 98 Corolla. Thanks for all input.

I don't think any new edge V6 or GT came with predrilled holes for a strut tower brace. All the install guides I've seen require you to drill the holes yourself.

the exhaust can be made to fit....the strut tower braces can be made to fit...hell with enough elbow grease just about everything can be made to work...

If you can dream it up, someone can probably make it work. It's all about how much money you want to throw at it.

Sweet, thanks for all the input. I'm the type that can make anything fit. I just didnt know how much off the stock mainfolds were between the V8 and 6.
Mustang Mike: Ft. Hood is in TX, about an 1hr north of Austin. To me 4cyl is import ricer. I have howerver stomped a stock GT in an 1/8th mile with my corolla. Its a light car. With a cat delet to open muffler, cold air intake, ported head, camed.... I put alot of money into it. Not just under the hood either. It was a 5spd and now I have an auto, I dont regret it, actually its a nice change. I just lost interest in the rolla. Just to let you know, the GT did kick my ass however. 4cyl's put out a pretty good bit of torque for the weigh. The power to weight ratio is a pretty good one compared to any muscle car. V8, V6 stang, firebird, camero. But in the end, the imports get stomped. Unless youre racing an awd lancer, wrx sti, or something to that nature. Hey any more input would be appreciated!! Thanks y'all. Last edited by scoutsout; November 4th, 2010 at 11:48 PM. |

np man...one thing i do stress is that you check all the sub sections so you don't accidentally place threads in the wrong spot...like clubhouse material in the tech section and so on...it keeps the site clean and it lets WL (v6 mod) relax
