Exhaust


Ok looking to do duals and I want side exit will thrush welds be good for this or what mufflers do y'all recommend? Looking to have new exhuast by the end of the week.

I am just going to say this as nicely as possible before anyone else comes in here and is a total douche. Don't get a side exiting exhaust without the Roush body kit. It looks weird without a body kit to go along with it. I mean if your dead set on it then by all means go for it. Just trying to save you future harassment

And yes Thrush welded mufflers will work, any muffler will work. Its all in the piping after the mufflers that make the exit.

and ill disagree with the side exhaust comment...if you cut the tip flush with the body it looks clean

however with mufflers like thrush welds it'll never work..so just dump at an angle or have them put the tips out the back

He's right and I'm not trying to be a....well douche but why are ppl so set on side exit exhaust......I mean its ur car go for it but if I'm not mistaken our cars underside are not "build/desinged" for it .but anything is poss......side exhuast is mainly seen on old camaro's and maby a thunderchicken.....but its ur car man do w/e u want to ur hearts desire

i like the idea but i also have the roush kit for the side exits but sold my roush mufflers for the side exit cause i heard a sixer with them and didnt like the sound but hey do it!

Thrush's are the same as the flowmaster original 40's. Just a little cheaper version. Everyone seems to have a high opinion of those on here.

yeah...its really the only way to make it clean enough to pull off without a side exhaust skirt

when he did a 351w swap in his car i was going to take the tubing from his car and put on my sixxer, but then i wrecked it so yeah

yeah that blows, but it turned into a good thing Mr. GT. He could still have it on the 351 as long as it wasn't 2 1/4

Yea i had the mufflers frome the actual roush kit but sold them to my buddy with a 4.6
