Well my suspisions ended up being right.

So I guess I beat on the stang a little too hard this weekend. Have an obvious "clap" coming from drivers side valve cover. Speeds up while I lightly press the accelerator too. Im not one to pull an engine apart so what do you guys suggest. I AM trying to keep this as cheap as possible. So any other tests I can do besides the obvious I can hear it clear as day? And for once it isn't my paranoia

It is hard to tell.

Try canceling spark plugs on that side and see if it goes away? That would be the easiest.

Otherwise we need a video. Or some more info?

Could be a lifter or it could be loose and the rocker arm could be hitting.

Spark plug canceling? As in take off the boots of the plugs with the car idleing one by one and if it doesnt affect idle thats the bad one?

Will try to get a vid tomorrow for you guys, I am suppose to work a double tomorrow. I was messing with it earlier, just sitting in my driveway idleing, very slightly hit the gas and it got faster but at 1.5k rpm my exhaust drowned the sound out idk if it helps but coolant color is fine, oil color is fine, no exhaust leak. Pulled out my stethoscope and its coming from the drivers side valve cover from the middle of the cover towards the front of the car, so its very noticeable with the steth on half of the valve cover.
