yep...seeing as how you're cars probly never had it changed you'll love the amount of rusty gas that comes out when you remove it from the line..don't forget to buy a disconnect tool..i reccomend the plastic ones not the metal ones

as for write ups it's pretty self explanitory in the post i made earlier... 1. lift rear of car 2. loosen the metal clamp around the fuel filter 3. now disconnect the lines from the filter (don't lay underenath this because a small bit of gas will come out) 4. put in the new filter 5. tighten the clamp back 6. drop car 7. prime the filter by turning the key to the on position and off a few times |

Also change your PCV. And get 01+ valves covers and put and inline filter in the PCV to manifold line. You have the shit valve covers, so your intake is probably filled with oil. Take off you upper intake and clean it out, and clean out as far as you can by scraping stuff out with your finger on the lower intake.
Change your diff fluid. Keep your tires at 35psi. reset your computer. These things should squeeze a few mpg out. The diff lube will just be good on the diff.

If you're only getting 16 or 17 you're either a major lead foot or you need to touch up on some of the maintenance that's already been mentioned here by others. I have fun with mine but still get those numbers easily.

But i also have 62000 miles and still have the original fuel filter. That would probably help alot.

Im usually @ 70-75 on the hw.
I went an entire tank of gas baby accelerating, no passing, coasting in N when I could. I mean it was like granny driving from hell, I could hardly stand it !!!! and I got like 18.3 mpg ... I have 3.73s 285/35/18 rear tires, AM CAI, Tuned 93 Oct, its an auto and I dont drive w/o OD, and w/ an auto it takes off in 2nd gear unless you WOT.... its only @ 47k miles So I would think I would get ALOT better mileage, or atleast when I granny drove that tank ... |
