I've got 285s on a 10" wide rim. If he's going with 10.5" then I think he should go for the 315s. Everybody dreams of having them but most people don't ever buy rims wide enough to fit them
i don't dream of a 315...i dream of a 345

as for the speedo...won't be off enough to car about

In the pic of my shopping cart I posted I cut out the part showing a tuner in there so yes I am getting one.

As for why I am getting 17's, it is because of loss of power, and since I don't have much to begin with I am holding on to all I have lol, I do go to the track regularly just for fun.

For the weight difference, I don't know how heavy my rims on the car are, but they are heavy as shit, weight doesn't bother me because I lost weight in other areas of my car.

I will also check out CC, just to price compare. Thanks guys, I will probably have another question at some point lol.

those bullets will be lighter then your current wheels...the 17x10.50 will probly be about the same weight due to size vs mass lol

Agreed. I want to clean up the wheels I have now and try and sell them. Since I found out new they cost $1,200 without tires, and the company that makes them apparently doesn't make them anymore. They are just in bad shape

I got the 18" package from AM.
Recommended tire sizes n all.

I think its 275/35 up front ... they look Fing huge ... I dont have a whole lot of play though like most people say. I noticed very little change in driving, especially after an alignment. Which you might want to get. Appearently, 99-04s have a common alignment issue, that they have to put in a couple of peices to fix. Or so I was told.

The 285/35s on the rear w/ the 10'' rim ... well they ... hmm .. "rice" look I guess you might say. Very low profile that doesnt look very aggresive. I wish I would have looked into it a little more. Id have gotten better tires for them. a 305 should work just fine on an 18x10, or so ive read. Next time, ill ass out the money on some good tires and get a 305/40. and let it stagger some

Also 1 thing I dont like w/ the 18 set. The rear wheels set in a little more than the fronts. If you stand just right you can see it .. kinda looks funny ... I might get some wheel spacers one day if I decide I care that much ..

Well I did better with going to a local shop than going online.

I got my complete wheel set, tires/rims for around $1100. All brand new, 17".

18" are too big and ugly in my opinion, unless you are 05+ to match that huge car. Ha

18s are a good size... People just dont realize some style of 18s "appear" bigger than another set of 18s

I like my 17s. But if you do like taking it to the track, stay 17. It you just drive it, 18s.
