Another Led Gauges Question!
Ok, so I have an 04 V6... we already know the "back film" of the gauge is green (at least mine is).... So I heard you have to scrape/rub off that green color to make it clear and be able to use whatever color LED you want.
My question is how to do the HVAC lights... I tried to peel off the film to see if it would have the same green color behind it but it doesn't. There was some sort of green light diffuser behind the film that gives off that green color... some "DIY write-up" says you only need to change the two light bulbs but I don't think so... And the A/C knobs are green too... those little clear pieces actually have a green "paint" behind it that you could hardly notice... maybe it rubs off? I dunno. Lastly, the defroster, trac control, and fog light switches are also green (stock)... Has anyone ever tried to change those lights? I tried opening the switches and found out that they all have a very small green LED inside... I'm not sure what kind of bulbs they are... So sorry for the long post... I just figured if I'd change the gauge colors, I should change ALL other lights to match right?! I haven't seen a write-up that had all the answers that I'm looking for. ![]()

you should find some answers here
SN95 LED Gauge Cluster and apparently the panel uses 194 bulbs and the film can be removed with a razor blade post #72 here http://3.7mustang.com/forum/showthre...-Post-62/page3 |

I've seen and read that write-up before... unfortunately, his gauges are not really stock anymore so I'm not sure if he already have the blue "back film" on the gauge... and I'm not sure what year his mustang is... the hvac controls could have been already stock blue like other older sn95 that came with blue gauges (back film)... I'm not sure... plus... the write up didn't mention anything about defroster, trac, and fog switch bulbs...
