gt500 mufflers on v6?
Does the stock 2010 v6 muffler bolt on? If it does, can i buy a set of gt500 mufflers from a used gt500 and put the right one on my car? Add the second left one down the road once i get duals? Thanks
Edit: Also will they improve the sound over stock v6 exhaust? |

My 2011 mufflers bolt on, but if I were you I wouldn't add a gt500 muff I would just go strait for duals.

I did not mean strait pipes I meant skip the small stuff and go straight to getting duals first thing, and if I'm not mistaken gt500 exhaust doesn't even fit a sixxer.

Dont bother, it will probably be too much trouble than its worth and probably wont sound great. . Get thrush welds or flowmaster and go dual right when you do it.

Ok I see what you meant. The real issue for me is, I have a guy who can do a custom divorced setup for 300 and my choice on the axleback for me sometime in January, I'm just paying some things off now. I wanted to know about the gr500 muffs because I can get a set of 08's for $50 off a friend.
That would cut my cost of the duals and make it easier to so financially. But if I can put the one on temp to help with the sound until I get the duals in Jan I would like too. He said theyre 2.5" in so I assumed they would fit, just wanted to know if they would work on my stock pipe. |
