Idle problems


Today when I returned 2 my house I stop at the front of my house at neutro and the car felt like dying I saw the rev and it was almost at 500 and the rev bounced so I thougth it may be te sensors? I changed the air filter yesterday bit the car didn't have any probems and I cleaned the intake

from what i've heard from others on this, i think its the ....iat sensor..maybe...that u might wanna clean...or the maf might need to be cleaned too

ohh ok..... and wheres the ait located in the stang? ohh and I'm noticing is it usual 4 the stang to take so long 2 get cold? For example i use the car and turn it off let say at3 p.m and then used it again like at 6-7 p.m and the motor has not reach cold yet... same thing for heating ittake like 10-15 minutes 4 the motor to heat...

it takes a while...the iat and maf are right there together on ur cai if u have one, if not then they are inside ur stock air box.

yeah i know it doesn't bother me thougth... at first I thougth the temp sensor was bad but I opened the hood and the motor still maintain hot

its idle air control not temp. but there is a air temp sensor.

thas a diff sensor tho isnt it there is one right next to the maf sensor and the iac is diff isnt it

idle


sometimes cars can go into whats called or at least what ive heard called "selective idle" or something of that sort. It will pulsate to try and correct the idle. its usally do to a little bit of throttle being applied at idle for a little bit but sometimes kicks in when sitting still for no reason. my car idles irregular sometimes 600-700 sometimes 250-350, but has never bounced but i know alot of peoples cars that do that.

you have 3 in your air intake. IAC(idle air control) MAF(Mass air flow sensor) and air temperature sensor. and its not going to be the air temp if anything IAC. if you have idle problems always check your IAC.
