Steering Overhaul
Ok, I still have this reman. steering rack to install...but I'm waiting to purchase the other components to do one major install, rather than attacking the same area numerous times. Smart, I know.
Now, I'm needing a p/s pump, steering shaft, and I think I'll put on one new wheel bearing, as the other side was replaced a year or so ago. Starting with the pumps, why are these so far off in price? Both are reman. units (I have no issues with reman. parts, but why the price diff?) 1979-93 Mustang Power Steering Pump, 2.3L & 5.0L, Also Fits 94-04 Mustang 3.8L at LRS - Same Day Shipping! This is the steering shaft I have chosen, I want to tighten up the steering, and this MM unit claims to do just that. Any reviews on this piece? 1994-04 Mustang Steering Shaft Assembly For Power Steering Rack by Maximum Motorsports at LRS - Same Day Shipping! Also, where's the cheapest place to get a wheel bearing? Probably just Advanced I would assume? Final part of this is tires. Just replacing the fronts for now, rears have plenty of life left. Reps to Nexen N3000's, good tires, last a long time. I have picked out Nitto 555's to replace the fronts, I believe it was discounttire online that has free shipping, for two tires it came to a little over $300. Any other tire suggestions for the front? Keeping them at 245/40/18. Will also be installing rack stops on new steering rack to end this rubbing issue. (Thanks Jazzer for that gem!). Any other suggestions to try and tighten up the steering? I think all of this plus an alignment should be good. Commence posting!

Here's what Advance has for wheel bearings/hubs. Reviews on why one is more than the other?
