Roll cages

I've got a couple of questions about roll cages. First of all is a 4-point roll cage the only legal one for street or is the 6-point legal too? And if a six point isn't legal do you think it would matter..like do you think a cop would even know it's not legal? lol Next quetsion is how does it work with your back seats...I know some people put in a rear seat delete kit but I think I want to keep mine. Can you keep your back seats and still have a cage? Somethin else just came to minf wouldn't a 6-point cage be annoying for a DD since you have to climb over it??

why do you need a roll cage for a DD? are you planning on rolling it in traffic on the way to work?

A targa top weakens the frame of your car really bad. On the JMS site they say they recoment a 6-point cage if your car is lowered, but I personally wouldn't have a targa top will a cage even if it wasn't lowered.

no no the subframe connectors come with the targatop. You get the top, subframe connectors, and weather stripping. Then you either have to install it youself or find someone who will.

just get a nice roll bar installed you don't need a full 6 point cage. If you flip your stang your doing good.

This has nothing to do about flipping my car. You have to do some crazy shit to flip a mustang.

yeah I know. You should be fine with just a roll bar for support then a cage wont make the frame beefier it just keeps you from getting crushed if you flip.

If you have in like welded to your actual frame. Most cages are welded to the floorpan and and run along the frame making it a saving grace if your frame fails.

roll cage

Roll cages are always good ideas if you moddifed. for strip purposes you need one for a coupe at 12.43 and for convertible you need one at 13.5-13.8 i belive.

thats what sucks I got intake exhaust and pully for my 03 cobra and already need a damn rollcage to go to the track, and the place i go is anal about it
