Hey guys,

I am getting ready to travel from Denver back to Georgia next week, YES!, and my cigarette lighter power adapter seems to have quit working. I would really like to have it working so that I can keep my phone charged and everything in case something were to go wrong.

Anybody have any ideas on why it would have quit working?

Could it be that the terminal that makes contact with the plug is just dirty and doesn't make a charge? My finance has used the cigarette lighter to light cigarette before so maybe some build up there?

Is it a fuse maybe?

Just throw some ideas out at me, because I have no clue on this one.

check ur fuse under the steering wheel by the hood opening thing. more then likely a broken fuse. if that doesnt work open ur center consol and check the wires of the cigarette thing. in my car it was a blue fuse. not sure about urs.

Thanks man. It was the fuse. I didn't even know there was a fuse box under the steering wheel. I think my iPhone charger busted it, it has an adjustable wattage switch that takes it up pretty high if you wanted it too and I think it must have gotten switched up above the maximum for the fuse.

So, for future reference for anyone who has this problem, check the fuse under the steering wheel. It's a 20A fuse just so you know. It's yellow.
