CAI

I have a completely stock auto 2004 mustang convertible well stock engine wise, I found a cheap CAI off eBay and by the sounds of things through a few search results, there is not a huge difference if 1 at all besides for maybe small sound, would it help me out at all for my 1st engine mod or should I focus on something else? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-00...Q5fAccessories

somwhere are 7hp and 15tq, depending on your mods, which for you is stock so im not for sure, im sure one of the other guys will chime in here and tell you, sound will probably increase alittle and IMO totally worth it, looks cleaner and performs better, but yes its quite expensive lol

If felt more than 7hp and 15tq to be honest.. The windstar is amazing though... Probably second best mod on my car right now behind the 4.10 gears spinning the rears.. If it was up to me and you didn't want to spend alot on the intake I would go with the AM intake... It will look better than the one you posted for sure, seems like that ebay one is just after the MAF sensor and that's it.

American Muscle intake
VAP Windstar
