what I think are stock rims

I have what I think is a stock alloy wheel on my 04 V-6. There are tiny scratches beginning to become visible. Is there a specific polish/cleaner or process that someone could recommend to get these things looking like mirrors the way they used to?

I'd get different rims but don't have the money right now. Not only that , there not too bad yet. I figured if someone has a strong opinion about something that works, I could use it to prevent it from getting worse and maybe even improve it. I bought the car with 6k miles on it a year ago. Any damage is my fault. I just know there is something out that can restore them a bit and protect them a little better. I tried the Mothers stuff but I think it was the wrong product. It said on the bottle that if it did'nt turn "black" when you used it, STOP using it becuase its the wrong kind of wheel or something. Ever since then, I've been hesitant to use anything but soap and water.

their are some places that will refinish rims for about 40 bucks a pop... i know that i need to have two of mine done just cuz one has lost its shine and the other has a deep scratch in it...

check with detailing places... and people of that nature and see if they know any one that can do that
