Ok finally set realistic goals with my car.
So once tax time comes I have always planned on doing something "big" to my car. And I finally decided 100% on what its going to be and nothing can change my mind (unless it's free of course). I am aiming low because I am not going to sink $6k+ into a supercharger or turbo setup. I now see its pretty much a waste. And after watching countless youtube vids and doing a lot of research on v6 stangs (outside of the regular modding world like 3.8, etc.) I am going with nitrous.
Full list of what I am getting done by spring: LT's w/ 2 cats using 02 extenders and MIL's for the 2 that have to go. 100 shot, including all the safety stuff. 3.73's I know I am an auto but hey I do a lot of highway driving and 3.73's are realistic. 8.8" rear Tune of course. Now for why I am posting this thread. From the people who know their shit about the 3.8 engine. Can the stock bottom end (if compression test, leak down test are fine) handle a 100 shot as long as I have window switch, downpipe, and set it so nitrous only goes into my engine during certain rpm's or WOT? (Haven't decided which I want yet). Colder plugs are necessary with a 100 shot correct? As well as a dyno tune? Just compiling all the info I need with what I already have, and this setup is 100% going to happen no matter what lol. So thoughts?

If you're getting a tuner you can save some money by skipping the MILs and having the rear O2s turned off in your tune.

You should be okay with a 100 shot as long as you have the window switch. It kinda makes me sad you arent going FI lol. Oh well. List looks good.

Supercharger/turbo is just too much money at once for me. And imo ends up being more expensive by far with all the dyno tuning and such. Im not going to be using the nitrous all the time so a bottle will last me a decent amount of time (I do have self control lol) and nitrous gives me the most of a sleeper effect minus the LT's lmao. This is what convinced me, and there is some differences such as he has a M/T and I am A/T.
at least low 14's high 13's and I would be satisfied with bottom 14's so I wouldn't need a roll cage.Lastly, fuel mods required for a 100 shot? Or is that for anything above 100?

I don't know if they can see that they're turned off can they?
I like the setting realistic goals thing though. I've decided that my plans for this year are 1. windstar 2. cutting my cats off and getting new tips 3. wheels 4. tuner 5. 8.8 and gears 6. maybe a few smaller visual things Then im gonna save my money and decide whether I want to go cammed and turbo'd or not |

Yea, I only picked a relatively cheap list (I said relatively lol, I know how much it will cost) so I don't end up throwing a majority of all my money I earn from now to spring into it. Because then what would I do if something breaks? Not be able to pay for it of course lol.

You need 1 temp range colder for every 50 hp shot... Zex sells nitrous plugs with 3 electrodes pregapped,just install them...with 100 shot you need to retard your timing 4 degrees... I suggest a tuner you can program the nitrous tune in then when not spraying reflash for 91 octane.. I am installing my sex kit this weekend and have done my homework... You can run up to 50 shot wet without any mods or tweaking but you NEED THE COLDER PLUGS... everything else looks good ... bro... Gonna have one quick six...your solenoid will only spray at wot but the window switch controls the rpms that it engages at... You can't be at half pedal and spray or YOU WILL DETONATE... The nitrous needs the big shot of fuel so the a/f ratiostays at the optimum 14/1....I contacted zex about all of this stuff and if you order the sex system American Muscle made an install video... I am almost done and I was only working on it for about 45 mins

Oooo conflicting information, how I hate it. I am actually excited for this. Hell I already want to take the license plate "Sprayd6"
but that would kill the sleeper effect.....6er I see you been in this thread for a while? Scared I might be faster than you some day? here we go 6er going out to buy a zex kit as we speak. The grudge match is still on my friend, haha told you I wanted you to be the first GT I ever beat in a V6.:Hug you know I am playing around, just like how you can pull the "Why would you put nitrous in a car missing 2 cylinders and .8 less displacement"

If everyone thinks its a v6 mustang but can out run a GT its still a sleeper in my book. Plus can't hear nitrous except for purging and I double anyone will smell it lol.
