Discussing ANy one have a 3.8 engine for sale??? in the V6 Mustangs Forum. my 3.8 died recently and im looking for an engine replacement. Can anyone help?...

ANy one have a 3.8 engine for sale???


my 3.8 died recently and im looking for an engine replacement. Can anyone help?

welcome to MM If you just looking for a stock engine, its pointless. You can get a 4.2 for like 300 more than a stock 3.8. If you want a nice 4.2 setup, PM me and I will let you know what you wanna get....

welcome to MM If you just looking for a stock engine, its pointless. You can get a 4.2 for like 300 more than a stock 3.8. If you want a nice 4.2 setup, PM me and I will let you know what you wanna get....

if dropped my RiPeMs so low it was scary... put the clutch back in and gave it some gas... then just drove it like an old lady to the mall

haha i know what you mean, when i first bought my car on the drive home from the dealership, the second stop light i came to i had it in 3rd instead of first and it started to move, then jerked a little, then stalled. keep in mind i had never had a stick before my friend kinda taught me in his honda and my neightbor let me practice in his porsche (YES HE IS CRAZY FOR LETTING SOMEONE WHO HAD NEVER DRIVEN A STICK LEARN IN HIS NEW 06 PORSCHE) easiest i have ever driven though

its not like it was an accident i put it fourth was like lets see whats up... cuz someone was like oh yea 300 rpms ... no prob my car does it all the time ... i was like huh okay well mine starts to go nuts at 500

plus mine idles at a smidgen over 1k... i don't know if thats weird or not where are yalls at?

mine is at 600-700 but i have an 04 and its the 3.9L but that shouldnt be that different i dont thing right?

yea thats what i was wondering... cuz i had some work done... and i wasn't sure if they changed it in the shop or not... but it doesn't bother me either way

no it shouldnt be bad for it at all expecially if its running healthy, i wouldnt worry about it

its suppose to be uncrackable? i bought mine with a cracked, unfortunatly im only 17 n dad wouldnt let me get anything more powerfull than the stock motor =(, and he thought it would be to much work for us to do something else, o well im not gunna complain only cost me 1500 for the car/engine and had to pay no install

the 3.8 is a VERY WELL engineered block. VERY hard to crack. Its possible, not fuck*ing hard.

yeaaaa I over reved and at 100,000 miles i guess it couldnt handle it and i blew a rod (piston rod that is) and well, there u go lol
