well you get an engine lift a couple of jack stands a torch and cut the sixer out and then find some mountin brackets put the 4.6 in and wire and plumb it... of course their is a bit more work to it if you got specific questions thats better we can help you a lot more

engine swap

yea u can swap it, you dont need a torch once so ever thu. IMO either a 351 or a 4.6L DOHC 32V (cobra engine) would be the sickest if you want to engine swap instead of buying a new car. there are some props to engine swapping insurance of a v6 thu(dont let insurance know) althu you pass emissions with an engine swap. a new wiring harness/rear/maybe tranny. basically new everything except the body. you'll find the cheapest used engines to be on ebay which is usally trustable...usally. If you put a carbd 351 in it a wiring harness wont be necessary and since its carb'd everything is easier to swap it in but i like cobra engines better

... why the hell not ... troches are fun... i want one just to burn shit like hondas... i would burn a whole in the center of the hood... just cuz i could

plus it helps a shit ton with disassymbly... like if the old motor is trashed you can just start burnin stuff of once you have the wiring harness out... thats again something i would love to do

swap

I really dont c how an engine swap is a horrible idea a 351W swap is actualyl not hard once so ever. I almost got my stepdad 351C and put it in my sixer untill i got my other car and i wanted to keep it a six for a DD. and i know a cobra engine would be quite a bit of work and would end up costing close to cobra territory but lets face it a cobra is better than a six IMO.

Well of course a Cobra is better than a v6 mustang

....

GreenFaleen will explain the 351swap and why its really "not" as good of an idea as he originally said it was....

Anyway
---------
Buy the time you buy the 03/04 cobra motor
tranny
computer
rear end
suspension
brakes
guage cluster
and get it all tuned

You could have had a twin turbo 6 > that same cobra motor 6 for less

swap

dont get me wrong i completely agree with you on either modding a six or buying a car that comes with the 8, im just giving him some ideas since what he was asking if he could/what to swap, i just answered it since he didnt ask if he should or if its worth the swap.

I know it puts a bigger smile on my face when i beat a car with my 6 then with my cobra, expecially when ive raced that car with the cobra and beat it then race the car the same car with the six and beat him again.

sure a high horse six is awesome but i love the v8 rumble
