Just before red line. If you shift AT red line, you're already dropping off your curve.

If really really want to get precise though. Go take it to a dyno and just get a chart with your power and power band. Shift at the peak of your power band. That might take off a hundredth from your time.

how do you get a good launch at start? ive been trying to figure that out but i never could do a real good one

Well, with street tires, I bring my rpms up to about 2k, then when I take off, I ease out on the clutch. The key is to get the clutch out as quick as possible, but just slow enough to keeps the tires from spinning. Next time you go, just practice that. Don't worry about the lights either. those will come later. And if you know when to shift, and can shift quick, you are good to go after 60ft.
I doubt you can tell, but you can here how I left the clutch out.

Ignore the limp bizkit and the dick on the quad. Just watch when I take off.
Also, I got rid of that damn squeak finally... It was my quad shocks..
