SCT handheld and torque converter issue

ok so i kinda asked this before with not much luck but if i set the WOT shift point say 7mph over stock(or any mph over stock) it screws with my car.

i have the rev limit set at 5800rpms, and 1st gear shift at 5800 even if i leave the WOT shift at 0mph (stock shift point is 5250). so that confuses me cause all other gears shift at the stock limit.

so i wanted to have the 2-3 shift shift 7mph over so it would shift around 5700, well when i set it, going WOT from a stop is fine

but when im cruising say at 50mph, and i slow down to about 20mph, it will not downshift to the right gear.

i do not know if its not downshifting correctly or not it seems to get stuck at 2500rpms and not go past that, even if im WOT at 20mph.

so imagine cruising in like o/d and slowing down to 20 and going WOT and the car will not move past 2500rpms and it seems like it will only downshift to 3rd.

once i was going about 50mph and went wot and it did not downshift out of 3rd to 2nd, so i had to merge on the highway with like no power.

so right now i took off any wot shift changes, to me it sounds like the tq converter is is locking up or something but idk why.

Dont adjust those if you dont know what your doin !!!! Give Bama a call and ask them about it, when you go in to change things, everything says "stock" well when you DL your tune to the car, it changes all the old stock settings to their new "stock" settings. So personally I would leave it alone, because even though it says stock, its not.

You dont have a tunning company ?
If not, maybe someone on here will know wth they're doing w/ the changes. Because like I said you cant tell what the "tuning company" makes because everything is listed as stock. Make sure the thing is updated like its supposed to be, if so contact SCT and see what you should do.

The end-user-adjustable shift settings on the "canned" or pre-loaded SCT strategy tunes are a little bit lacking. You'll never in a million years be able to dial in part throttle and WOT right where you want. There are hard limiters for each gear for the trans at WOT that will over-ride the overall engine rev limiter. You need a custom tune to correct this issue.

Give Bama a call Monday-Friday 9AM-5:30PM EST and they'll hook you up. A single tune is $50, and a (3) pack of tunes is $150, but comes with free tunes for life. They'll be able to tweak the shift schedule to your liking, but our custom tune will optimize the shift points for your modifications in every gear. We'll need to know the gear ratio and tire size in the rear in order to correct the speedometer as well, so that our shift points aren't adversely affected.

I would say do this, if you mess with it enough you could cause trans problems. Even if you just bought 1 tune for $50 thats a small price to pay to save your transmission.

does that 50 get free tune for life from there out ? Just one tune type everytime you want one ? and the 150 get all 3 street, performance, race tunes, then all 3 free for life ?

Isn't the only catch the fact they won't tune for a supercharger/turbo? Just because those are things you can't really use a canned tune for. Needs to be dynoed.

Cool so all bolt on mods (CAI exhaust headers driveshaft gears axel tires etc) just need to email them and tell them and they'll email back a custom tune specific to your mods for free?

if you have their custom tuning for life.... They do all bolt ons but as soon as it comes to cam, turbo, s/c, nitrous, and stroker kit you should go through a dyno tuner you know and trust
