Heater Core Replacement Question
Hey guys, I just need a bit of info. I will soon be replacing my heater core and just want a bit info/images of where the hose runs. Unfortunately, my car's heater core was already bypassed so I don't know where the hose goes.
Any help/pics are greatly appreciated!

If you remove the upper intake manifold (which is required to replace the heater hoses) you will see where the two heater hoses go. One is 3/4" and the other is 5/8" so they can't be interchanged.
The bigger issue is that the whole dash has to be removed in order to replace the heater core. |

I would recommend getting the shop manual for your car before you do this job.
I would unbolt the shifter and set it in the back seat with the cable still attached so you don't damage it. In the place where he says the heater box wouldn't come back very far it's because there was still a bolt holding it (look up underneath the box). There is a major connector under the front fender that needs to be released (check the shop manual). Good luck. |
