2011 Battery Problem

Hey Guys,

Spent the evening installing HID's in my Stang only to find that when I reconnected the battery that the horn would constantly go off. Now I noticed this as soon as I disconnected the battery before I even started but thought nothing of it as it was only for a quick second. However when I finished up, that's when I noticed it wouldn't stop when the battery was connected. I tried a few solutions I found googling such as having your key in the door when you connect it but nothing works.

I took out the fuse for the horn just to see what would happened when i left the battery connected. Lights go on in the cabin but there is a constant clicking noise, which I believe is the horn trying to go off, and a red light near the driver's side door blinking constantly. (Probably the alarm light)

So I'm at a loss of what to do. Car is sitting in the driveway with the battery disconnected for now.

Any help would be appreciated. Oh and if it helps the battery is a Surefire, if that makes a difference.

Thanks.

Edit: My apologies, it's not a Surefire battery, not sure what exactly it is but I know that there was a dealer installed option that came with the car that provided a "sure start" or something like that if the car died. They gave me an extra key fob for it too. I wondering if that's whats causing the problem?

Well I finally got around the alarm problem. Had to have the key in the ignition while I reconnected the battery. However now my damn HID's won't start up. Traded one problem for another.

I installed HID's on my truck once and the instructions said to run the car for about 10 minutes before turning on the lights. Then after 10 minutes or so I could turn on the lights. That's all I know about aftermarket HID's.

Okay...when this happened to me...my ground wire was not touching the body of the car...so try and a different area to attach your ground wire! If that doesn't work...go through all your connections (im sure you have done this lol)
