Quick Gauge Question, 2000 Mustang

I've spent many of the last few days scouring the forums. I joined the ranks of mustang owners on Monday when I purchased my white 2000 mustang V6 coupe.

Basically my question is this. Does anyone know what the range is on the stock oil pressure gauge? It has no numbers on it, and it is slightly to the right of dead center about 2 dots.

And thanks to all of you for the huge amounts of information located on this website. I plan on detailing it this weekend, and I am already planning to change the interior color, the audio system, and getting an appropriate sized CAI for it.

It's not a real gauge but more of a dummy light. If it's somewhere near the middle then it's fine, otherwise it will be in the red at either end.

It basically only has 3 positions so you can't get an accurate reading out of it.

Thank you for the answer. I plan on switching gauges eventually anyways and just wondered what the stock readings were.

You can get actual psi by holding the trip odo in while you turn the key... Then it will show Gage and all your gauges will sweep... Keep pushing it in til you get to the oil and it will give you psi

lol my oil gauge hasn't worked in months...damn sending unit lol..but i won't bother replacing it...the factory gauge is so useless there's no need...so i wouldn't worry about any issue with it...you'll notice when the car is haveing oil pressure issues before that gauge helps
