Someone backs into my Mustang then steals the 40th Anniversary emblem

So I just got back from the mall and while I was there I parked in the parking lot (DUH). There was no one in from of me. So after a couple hours at the mall I come back to my car and see a medium size dent on my front right side of my bumper and whats also weird is that the right fender ( above the wheel ) there is a dent and paint got taken off. Then I saw my emblems gone. I was so mad. If your going to hit someones car at least don't steal an emblem from them. Ill Put up pictures in the morning. Its too dark to even take pictures right now. So currently I am looking to buy the emblems off Ebay and hopefully I can find a nice exhaust kit while I am looking for things for my mustang. Still I am a little pissed. I might as well ask this. If I was going to get an exhaust system for my Mustang which one should I get?

for your exhaust....thrush welds (flowmaster 40 knockoffs)...just take them to an exhaust shop and tell them to make you a true dual setup...if you can afford a mid pipe i'd go with an h pipe...if not don't worry about it...cats need to go if you don't have emissions...if you do there's ways around that

as for your emblems i'd order some 231 emblems since you'll have to replace anyway

well when i had that setup on my v6 it ran $200 installed

advance auto sells the mufflers for $39 each...so after tubing and the welding its not so bad...if you want it to be loud you can have the shop dump the tips just after the mufflers, but i reccomend if you go that route to have the tips angled toward the sides and not the ground (you'll thank me for that tip if you go dumped)

Did you call the police and report it?

That's pretty pathetic that they stole the emblem too. How about your insurance, are they covering the damage?

6er, what does angling the tips do? (aside from possibly quieting it down since the sound doesn't reverberate directly against the ground)

Thats actually not that bad of a price. I might do that. K I will go with angled tips to the side. But why so?

Yes I put out a police report. And the insurance is covering some of it. I need to take it to the body shop. I need to change the front bumper. It wont stay on properly now. I might have to pay full for the new bumper. And yea I was annoyed about the emblems. How are you going to hit my car and steal from it?

if you angle them straight into the ground (i've had 3 dumped setups on my v6) you'll feel the vibrations from that...and at first its not that bad, but it gets old...if you angle the tips it'll sound just as loud if not louder due to the direction the exhaust flow is now heading...and the vibrations will be easily bareable...

here's my old setup...

I hate assholes in parking lots. That's how every dent on my car got there. They're not too big, but I know they're there. And you know sometimes this stuff is intentional when people see a really nice car and get jealous. That's what pisses me off the most. It's not like it's even that expensive of a car, but it's one of the nicest in my area.

Does the setup in this pic not scrape the ground often?

I know that the places I go to weekly are a death trap for low riding cars, and I plan on getting some sort of exhaust system for my stang and I'd rather not destroy them.

Yea but the weird thing is that I live in a nice area. And I still manage to get emblems stolen off my car.

I don't like getting things like a cobra bumper when I know my car isn't a Cobra. I might just buy a new bumper and buy a Mach 1 chin spoiler with it. Thank you Insurance

Oh, don't get m,e wrong I live in a nice area. And as far as stealing shit and vandalism it doesn't seem to matter so much where you live. IMO

the dumped tips scrape but it doesnt matter if they do on speed bumps....its just exhaust tubing bent and cut at a slant...although if a shop does your exhaust like this have them dump them closer to the muffler...i had to have my tips cut a few inches back to drop my rear axle

I have no idea what you're talking about.

If you're ambitious, pluck the emblems out of a junkyard. If you're lucky you'll find a friendly place and they'll charge you like $5 for the emblems, if that.

Regarding the dumps, definitely DO NOT point them straight down. There was a guy i knew who had his 67 GTO () with turn downs, and the one day he drove it into this parking lot where the pavement was covered in dust. Boom! Instant sand storm. And not the techno kind where you freak out and wave glowsticks at. Needless to say he wasn't too happy losing most of his visibility and getting his car covered in dirt.
