Side Exhaust Kit

Well, I am looking for a side exhaust kit for mt 2007 V6 Mustang. I was wondering if I could get some questions answered from someone who knows about exhaust, questions like: What kind of mid pipe should I get? Where could I find a good side exhaust kit? Thanks for your time.

Check out the sticky up-top.
AmericanMuscle.com is a good place to start.

That might be tricky. You would need to switch to cat back and Idk if there is room under the 05+. I have seen side exhaust on GTs, but they obviously had no mufflers..

Plus you need to do something about the one tailpipe cutout.

you can get catbacks for 05-09s...

a cervinis kit would be perfect but they're pricey

2005-09 Mustang V6 Cervinis Side Exhaust Kit

now you said you're already getting side skirts so you wouldn't need this whole kit, but maybe you can just find the exhaust part

$1500 for an exhaust!

Couldnt he go to a shop and get one made for cheaper than that?

Thats what I was thinking. Would it be more expensive to get custom exhaust made instead of the cervinis kit?

No it would be cheaper but its still up there.....You need a special muffler for the side exhaust because of the clearance issue and to be honest they sound like shit...

Well, I went by a local exhaust shop and they said that it would cost about $250-300 to custom make the exhaust. I think we have a winner lol. Thanks for all the input.

Good luck with a custom made side exhaust lol...make sure you watch what tubing they are using because if it's not mandrel bent and they are using a crunch bender it won't flow very well.

you've never tested both on the same car have you lol...and even if realistically it didn't cause any flowing issue there is a sound difference

Well fellows, after about 2 months of debating whether or not I should do the side exhaust, I finally decided to go with: Pacesetter longtube headers, shorty x, and dual exhaust. Sorry if I let any one down who wanted to see side exhaust on a V6.
