another split-port question

Purchased a '03 V6 complete engine and tranny with only 42K miles for a friends '96 which has the usual blown head gasket and ruined motor. Just thought I would swap in the whole engine since it is an easy fit and a much better design. Question is, using the '96 ECM and harness, specifically how do I deal with the intake valve mechanism which I believe is run by the '03 ECM and not present in the '96. Some other source said stake them open or remove them. Seems like there ought to be a way to make them work???

with a 01-04 ecu they could work but if your set on keeping the 96 ecu, im almost certain they have to be deleted

and its not a big deal really, theres not much power loss without them. i think the 99-00 were rated with 3hp less.

I think you are going to need a windstar fuel rail with a return.
