Transmission swap

What are the figures in terms of time and cost for converting a 2003 V6 Mustang to a manual transmission?

depends. Depends on what kind of transmission, where you get the parts from, who is installing, etc.

well a t-5 or t-45 you may be able to snag for about a grand or 2 or so, but if you want to go with a 6 speed out of the cobras that will be around 2.5K, and then some custom fabbing. Other stuff just depends where you get it from.

It will be around 3-5K roughly

unless their is an atachment to your car then you could switch it ... if you wanted to

Something about down shifting on the highway to blow the doors off ricers....
And Something about launching at whatever rpm you want and shifting at whatever rpm you want and not having to re-tune the car every time you leave the track back to your daily tune...

My issue is that I cant really afford to get a GT just now (I just got my V6 a little over a year ago) I really wanted a manual but couldnt find one in a V6 from any deal...assuming I plan on keeping this car for a long while, is it worth it to convert it to manual or should I just leave it be?
