how do i make my auto v6 go faster???
looking to go faster... nothing crazy just sum slight mods....i have a 01 by the way..

Sell it and buy a GT, Mach or Cobra???
but really, I dont know much about the v6's, but I assume you can go to a steaper gear and it would help. Do they make hand held tuners for the v6's? You will probably see the greatest gains from one of those... |

there's a mess of little bolt ons you can do. you can do intake exhaust and headers. also look into throttle bodies, underdrive pulleys and intake plenums. they are bolt on and add some power. aces is right, a tuner would also help. as well as the gears.

I would trade it in to be honest. I am sure you can get a GT or Mach easy by throwing a few grand in on the trade. It is a better trad off then molding the 6er

Full bolt on's, then cam it? IIRC the v6's still use the OHV unlike the GT's with the OHC.
With full bolt on's and it cammed you should be putting down the same power as a stock GT, maybe a little more.

Get a tuner, I recommend an SCT one and opt for custom tunes.

Lol you guys are being mean to the poor guy. Hey if he wants to keep a 6 let him be. Obviously v8 is the more sensible option but you don't have to insult the guy for having a 6. for all you know he may not have the money for an 8

you could also throw a s/c on it. jt's03v6 on here is running mid sevens in the eighth with a procharger or vortech and a stalled auto
