Pre-mod, mods...

What all should I do before I start modding my car? Like change the fluids, sparkplugs, etc.

And could someone post a like telling me all about cams. I read the sticky but still don't quite understand. How much does it usually cost to get it done, how much hp gains etc etc etc.

How many miles on the car? If your over 100k I wouldn't change the tranny fluid, could cause problems. But you don't have to do special maintenance before modding your car. Just keep up with normal upkeep. Oil changes, spark plugs at 100k miles, etc.

I know, but once you hit a certain point of not changing it you can do more bad from changing it than good. I am still debating if I should change mine. Im at 101k and I have never changed it. Don't know about the previous owners though.

I could see this in an auto. For a manual a drain and replace couldn't do more harm than good.
