4.3 Stroker Injector Help
Hi everyone! This is my first time to this site and I need help. I had to get a new motor for my mustang and I decided to get a 4.3. Its being sent to me next week. My question is will my factory 14lbs injectors and MAF work with this motor? Because the person whom im getting the long block from said I need 24lbs injectors for it. Then I was told by some other people I could get 24lbs injectors and MAF from a 95 Cobra and that will work. Will it? This whole thing has wiped out my account so I need to know the best but cheapest way to go about it.

What are you doing... just a stock 4.3? Need more details.

Sorry about that, I dont know what I was thinking not to put specs in. So this is what I know about the engine and this is what he sent me. This engine is a modified 3.8 RWD Ford Mustang Engine. This engine has been built as a Street and Strip engine and is designed be used as a daily driver, we have Bored and Stroked this 3.8 engine to 4.3 L. The Cylinder Heads have recieved a 5 angle valve job and been fitted with 1.892 Intake Valves and 1.491 Exhaust valves and performance springs. The Stroker is fitted with a .480/.480 204-216 @ .050 Camshaft which will deliver strong torque and pull to 5800 RPM's. The engine is built with the compression ratio set at 9.5 to 1 to make it pump gas friendly.

get 24# injectors and matching MAF you can get them from a 94-98 cobra OR a 93-98 Mark VIII like $100-$150 from your local junk yard

Another titan motor. Split port heads??
Your best bet is to have the pcm reflashed for the injectors. Go to VMP Tuning Inc and have justing make you a tune for what ever injectors you want to run. I'd get the 30's or 39's if you plan to add more poower.

Yes its a titan motor and no its not a split port. It being set up for the regular single port. If I had the extra money I would have made the split port swap. Do I have to have the pcm reflashed or can I just get injectors an maf from a cobra and that work. Like I said money is short.

i had a 4.2 swapped 2000 v6 and i used stock injectors and maf. i didnt get it tuned and it hauled ass. but since your going a little more wild i would HIGHLY suggest a tune.

this is a built stroker motor, if you plan to do anything in the future you might as well just get some 39lb injectors and MAF. Personally i would get at least 30# just to be safe. not sure about this specific motor but your probably going to put down at least 250whp maybe more

I wouldn't get 39s unless your going to a dyno to get tuned. And I wouldn't consider it a built motor ;p More of an expensive rebuild.

given what you have described to me and it staying single port i think a Thunder Chicken supercharger setup would be an interesting option. if you take that option 39#ers would be the best choice. if you stay NA 24#ers would work.
this car is running 24#ers and is making 290hp and 300tq to the ground with a perfect air fuel ratio. so that means 24#ers would work for your v6. 30#ers would be over kill, overkill isnt a bad thing better to have a little more than not enough.

Tbird setup would be fun, most people seem to give up on it though.
And yes 24's would work fine~

i am doing a Thunder Chicken swap right now..... actually re-doing it. it was awsome until the guy wrecked the car. now im pulling it out and dropping it into the new, clean un-molested car. it is a fun setup and i cant even imagine how bad ass it would be on top of a 4.3.
NA=24# injectors (30# at most) Boosted=39#-42# injector

i bought a wrecked thunder chicken and pulled the motor and dropped it into a 97 pony. it had the stock 30# injectors. motor was completely stock except a horrible paint scheme and mustang headers. nothing special but it was FUN!! he wrecked it a week before his dyno appointment :-(

Yes Im going to keep it NA for now. So all of you guys say go with the 24lbs injectors. Can i get a maf from a cobra and everything work right. Or am I going to have to get a tuner and flash the pcm? And I agree seeing a super chicken set up on the 4.3 would be pretty sweet.
