That white smoke


Ok I saw it yesterday but it was very faint...I seems to be coming from the right side of the engine bay...any ideas what it could be...

white smoke is usually burning coolant, or if it was raining could be steam.

It was dry...So would you happen to know where on the right side of the engine I could burn coolant

was it like thick white or faint like steam?

THe first time I posted it was a massive smoke screen...this time it was barely noticeable...like real thin

hmm I'm not really sure. It is comming from the engine bay right?

check your radiator for any kind of puncture or rupture in it that would release coolant. Check your hoses, and as jug said check the water pump too.

when the engine is cold give ur hoses a squeeze checking for cracks and also check for over tightened hose clamps they will actually form a leak.

and listen for a whieezing or whistling sound when you squeeze them... that means you are out of coolant and its leaking... ... is it passanger or driver side... cuz right is just kinda vauge...

If you can't find where the leak is coming from, have a shop perform a pressure check on the coolant system. Any leak, if there is one, will spit out because of the pressure. I hope it's a hose, because that's the cheapest way out!

i just like to pop a pouch of dye in mt coolant and then drive it till its low again then check it with a black light where she glows she blows.

hah check fluid levels. Either check them and then check them again after it smokes and see if any of them are considerably lower or fill them all up and then check see which dropped
