87 vs 93 octane tune

so how mush of an actual difference is there between an 87 and a 93 octane tune? I dont want to have to buy 93 octane but i will if it makes much of a difference.

Actually all an 87 octane is really more for shifting then actual "performance", 93 octane doesnt really do too much unless you advance the spark like 2% and then it really kicks it, but it also gives you kinda hard starts.

Of course when you advance spark it's going to start hard. It's not a permanent thing. I advanced the spark on my car +2. It started hard for 2-3 days, then I had no problems at all once my computer adapted to the changes I made. It was only on cold starts

A 93 tune is normally setup for performance and can be brutal on some parts of the car.

well normally a 93 tune (or at least the ones I have seen) are performance only. They shift very very hard, at pretty high rpm for our cars, and with just DD that can put extra wear and tear on the engine.

yeah I mean it isn't going to like kill your car or anything but it is better for the car to have a passive tune for dd
