1. Post pics so we can possibly see
2. Get a tuner and run the codes yourself
2.1 and if it's not too bad just clear it
2.2 if it is, then you know what to do
2.3 if you don't know what to do then, www.moddedmustangs.com

I agree, pics could help us be sure everything is properly in place/connected. Not saying you didn't install it right, there's just something that's throwing that code that you could be overlooking.

ya its all installed "correctly" but ill get a new hose and make sure all the clamps are on tight. i guess ill just have to go from there. im might throw back in the stock air intake to see if the code goes away... will it go away by its self or would i have to clear it?

230 for me. chances are that cool new sound you hear when you take off could have something to do with the decrease in mpg

What does the sound sound like? Whistling or ticking? If it's whistling, it's the CAI. If it's ticking, it's probably an exhaust leak.

im beginning to wonder if my exhaust manifold leak could be throwing off the 02 sensor readings, making the fuel mixture to appear lean

thus more fuel is being added and my fuel mileage is dropping

maybe....
