Throttle Body

This is the only place I think I could post this question. Will I get anything by changing the throttle I was just looking on www.americanmuscle.com for parts for a v6. I know it controls the amount of air flowing into the engine. Will I gain more air flow from installing that or is it just the same part thats already in there? also if it does change anything will i feel it at all?

yep worthless even with a s/c, might save you a little boost, but 400 is all you should ask from a stock 4.6 anyway

So say I installed a ProCharger on my v6. It says you get 40% to 60% more hp gain. So the highest horsepower I can reach would be 336 which is the 60% gain. Would I need to forge my internals or can it handle it with out any problems at all?

1) 4.10 gear for 7.5" rear end
2) Underdrive Pulley
3) Mustang SLP X-Pipe (catted)
4) Procharger
5) cams at some point maybe

I though i would try to get this out of the way =D

the cams i might not do if I get the Procharger, because thats cutting it pretty close i would say to the 400 point.

*edit
I forgot to mention heads I'm not sure about those yet any suggestion or should i go look in the exhaust forum?

the essex block(v6 block) is a very strong block and can handle some 400+numbers.

1)you might want to reinforce the rear end if you plan on over 350rwhp
2) you can't run U/D pulleys with any s/c
3)good mod
4)another good mod
5)if you get cams and your going to be s/c'd make sure to get custom grinded blower cams.
6) just p/p the heads.

did i miss anything?

below 400 hp your block will be fine, forge internals you will need a beefy rear end. If you have an auto get a shift kit for strength purposes, and no UD pulleys with a s/c

ok so I can't put a U/D pulley on with a S/C. How would I go about forging my rear end? Could a 8.8" on my v6?
