Does a tb from a 2000 gt fit and work on a 2004 v6
I figured you would be the guys to ask. I searched and couldn't find an answer. Thanks for your responses

I believe the lever (idk the technical name for it) that the throttle cable and CC cable attach to is on the opposite side. I've heard it can be mounted upside down so that the lever is on the correct side.

No problem man. I know if you go with a Windstar intake, it comes with a GT throttle body. Just a thought if you want to make more power and use a GT throttle body

Well I got a 70mm accufab on my gt but I got a friend with a sixxer and he wants to buy my old stocker. Better than it taking up space in my garage

For some reason I was thinking you had a V6 (even though you've got GT badges and "2000 gt" under your name lol) and I was sort of wondering why you wanted to downgrade TBs
![]() But yeah, I think it should work. The throttle cable will just run to the bottom of that level instead of the top

it will not work on a stock v6 manifold
the v6 throttle opening looks like this ![]() with the port for the IAC on the top see how the throttle body has the port for it too ![]() the GT throttle body looks like this ![]() rear (ignore red circle) ![]() linkage is on the oppsite side and it isnt tall enough, not to mention no port for the IAC it only work on windstars where the throttle opening is shaved down like this |

I stand corrected. I swear we had a thread on this a few months ago and someone said the GT TB would work on the stock V6 upper intake
