idk how much you have looked into what it takes to do an v8 swap, but its not easy and you pretty well need an entire donor car.
will take lots of time/money and studying to do in our cars.
Granted a v8 makes a better start in mods, and can handle more HP if you did the same things to it. But in the end you will spend more money. alot.

You can put alot of power behind a V6 if done right.
H/C/I will put your numbers much higher. But, you also need an exhuast with it. (not just a catback) and a dyno tune.

Things are already getting expensive right there. But probably cheaper then a donor car. and you'd be looking at some really nice numbers, depending on the cam.

Gears are a definate plus, accel will feel much better!!!

I cant remember numbers but if my little knowledge and memory serves me well, i think putting FI @ 6-8 PSI can put you around a stock GT (up to 04)

If you put in the money to build up your internals for higher PSI, ported heads and intakes, and had a custom cam for FI, and gears, you'd beat stock GT's for sure, possibly 2011 GT's stock ? If you could make 400hp out of a lighter car, you might beet them...

Now granted, taking it that far will cost you alot. BUT spend a few grand on a V8 swap and be a stock GT ... Sounds good and "decent" power...

Its alot about your time and money ... If you've got them both and can do a V8 swap, go for it. But if you got that money, go buy a GT. Spend the same, and not have to work at it ! lol

Nice advice. . . . .

Do you plan on doing the work or are you paying someone else to do it? Also, what are your goals (whether it be a certain hp/tq, ET, or just a fun street car)?

Since I dont want to take the time to put small dark font, ill just say I like to spank hard :p

What are the numbers for 6-8 PSI

And to OP, Nitrous is always an option too. I think a wet kit might cost you around 600$ ? and you can have some nice Haul Ass

Power isn't always there with nitrous. Kyle is the one that ultimately talked me out of nitrous. I had a nice cheap kit already paid for when that time came too. Then I finally saw the light lol.

HP from 6-8 psi ALWAYS depends on the tune and supporting mods as well is affected by the engines overall health. Like how a stock engine can/will lose HP over a long period of time. But just by the On3Performance kit on their site (for GT's) it says it will roughly double your HP. So what new edge GT's make 240 at the crank right? So we will say 390-400rwhp with their kit. Just going by dyno sheets I have seen on the site, for all I know there was other mods involved besides the turbo kit and a tune. Who knows.

A tlok is much more fun. Locks your rear wheels, more tractions, fun for donuts two wheel burn outs

I have 3.73's on my auto, @ 70mph I run 2400rpm... Eats gas at about 16-17mpg 18's on a really light foot.

So if mpg is a big deal (especially if you do alot of HW driving) then you might go with them.

Also, your talking about putting in new pieces that the originals have worn to each other. That includes bearings. Its smart to put in new bearings to.
Your car your choice.

Your going to need new fluids, and a slip lok additive as well.
This isnt that cheap of a mod. But definately worth it.

If you dont have a tuner yet, you'll need one to correct your speedo and what not. And if you dont have one with an auto .. well your really missing out !!!
Auto + gears and tuner = amazing !!!

Meh oops, don't know anything about GT's anyways except they have 2 more cylinders than me and a smaller upper intake (by looks)

And god I am really starting to hate being referred to as demon. Makes it seem like I am some gothic/emo kid, which I am the complete opposite of. Hence the thing in my sig.... Think its time for a name change.
