Suggestions for the strip?

Waiting for friends to get back on me on whether we are actually doing this or not. We planned to go to the local strip tonight, just for fun. I am running my stock V6, one friend has a Rav4, the other has a Z3 coupe (not the convertible). I already I know the Z will smoke me, it's lighter and has a lot of horsepower on me. I am pretty sure I can beat the rav4. However, here is what I need a suggestion on...

The stock differential sucks donkey balls.... Does anyone have a trick to taking off fast with this stupid stock setup? I can push my Mustang extremely well after it's rolling. But from a dead stop I either have to take almost 2 seconds rolling off the clutch or if I drop it I just spin out till 2nd gear and it takes a lot of time and is very slow that way. I really wanna whoop the one friend by a couple car lengths, and I think I have a chance the way I have been shifting lately. Anyone got any tips to take off with this stock setup?

P.S. I posted this here because it's V6 specific and because the drag forum gets very little traffic.

All wheel drive on the rav4 and our hp to weight is fairly similar. Plus he is running a stock automatic. It's just for fun, but I have been in his Rav4 when he pushes it getting on the freeway and I know I can go a lot faster. The only think he does have is a CAI... and all it did was make it louder in my opinion.

To keep HP up, quickly dump the clutch when shifting, shift, then let it out fast without removing your foot from the gas. It'll burn your clutch a little but it'll improve your acceleration.

I tried that a few times and it helped me launch quickly. As for 1st gear launch, just find a comfortable point as to where you start rolling, then press in on the gas and then floor it, the tires may squeal but oh well.

You have a stock v6, not much is going to help you. Trial and error, skip the water box, burn out to get the junk off your tires.

The Rav4 will smoke you off the go but you should be able to shoot past him if you do it right half way.

Tire... not Tires... I wish they both spun

P.S. to Panic, I have no problem with shifting once moving. It's getting into first quickly without slipping the tires.

Well, Rev the car, feather the throttle so the rpms fire to around 3000, start letting the clutch out, when they drop to around 2000, let the clutch engage, then when you get rolling, give into the throttle firmly, then floor it.
