Not to rain on the parade but there's a really good chance you're transmission has an issue. Do some research (I've been doing a lot on problematic 4r70w's, long story) and you'll find that the rumple strip feeling is a common sign of trouble.

If I remember right, this was a symptom of a failing torque converter. Some might cringe at the mention of an additive, but you could try dropping the pan and swapping the filter, then adding the Lucas additive in when filling it back up. Might help.

If it were me I'd check inside the rear end for any odd wear too just to be safe.

Hmmm, the torque converter was my dads first thought too. I'm may look into dropping the pan and stuff here soon.

Thats probably what it is. however the lucas additive only helps for a few thousand miles. It can do more harm than good sometimes. A little wont be a problem but not as much as the bottle says.

sorry for not posting in a while. So far this problem hasn't happened yet. But I have only been doing minor driving.
